At Home Resources

Derbyshire Mind offer a wide variety of Mental Wellbeing sessions and groups for you to attend but we also want you to be able to try these from the comfort of your own home

All our At Home Resources on this page have been created so you can access them conveniently in your own time.
You can try some of these activities from your living room, garden or local park. Whether you decide to enjoy these resources to unwind on your own or with friends and family, we hope you have fun, destress and find time to add these
moments of joy to your routine.

Movement and Mindfulness at Home

Movement and Mindfulness is designed to bring a sense of calm and grounding to all.

Kat Rooney has created 2 videos for us to try at home which consist of:

  • A yoga sequence (strong emphasis on the breath)
  • A breathing technique or mindfulness exercise (that can be incorporated into everyday life)
  • A guided relaxation

Try and find somewhere comfy at home to join in these sessions. Don’t worry if you do not have a yoga matt, you can use a blanket or carpeted area of the house.

Green Connections

Our Green Connections Service provided a retreat-type environment for you to support your mental health and wellbeing by experiencing the many benefits of getting outside, slowing down, and connecting with nature. Whether it was raining or sunny, or even snowing, activities were provided in line with the changing seasons and included varying horticultural activities, conservation activities, natural art and crafts, and ‘forest bathing’.

Sessions were delivered by our partner, Wellness Without Walls. Their experienced practitioners provided a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

We want you to be able to enjoy the benefits of the great outdoors and nature from your home or local community spaces.

The below “Green Connections – At Home Resource pack” has been designed and created by Derbyshire Mind and Wellness Without Walls to support you to connect with nature in your own time.

There are lots of activities you can try from Mindfulness, Nature walks and Poetry.
