What is the ‘Developing Trauma-Informed Understanding’ workshop?

Derbyshire Mind have partnered with Relate and Derbyshire County Council Public Health Department to deliver free workshops on trauma-informed approaches for the voluntary and charity sector.

The workshops will run throughout 2025 and are available to any member of VCSE organisations in Derbyshire or Derby City that provide support to the residents of Derbyshire. No prior knowledge or qualifications are required to attend these workshops.

Aims of the Workshop:

  • Enhance your knowledge and skills of what is means to be trauma-informed.
  • Provide examples of what trauma-informed approaches look like.
  • Work with you to understand how you might be able to support your organisation and community through being trauma-informed.

Small Bursary Opportunity

What is the small bursary opportunity?

The bursary is a chance for organisations to receive a one-off payment (following completion of the workshop) to support the implementation of trauma-informed approaches within their workplace.

The only requirement for receiving the funding is the agreement to complete a simple case-study, which details how you have used the funding to support your workplace in being trauma-informed. There are a limited number of bursaries available.

How do I sign up?

When you sign up to the workshop using Eventbrite, as part of the booking process you will be asked to register your interest in the bursary also. If you say yes, you will be contacted with further details following completion of your workshop.
